  • Who are Heta?
    Based in the South-West, Heta produces specialist Cut Resistant Gloves to industries across the United Kingdom. Heta was set up in 2019 with the aim of creating a definitive range of industry-leading, competitively priced, high performance safety gloves to challenge the complacency of established players within the workwear glove and PPE market.   • Where is Heta based?
    Heta is based in the South-West of the United Kingdom, in the ‘ocean city’ of Plymouth, with our offices having fantastic and dramatic views of Dartmoor. Our site boundary borders the beautiful Plym Valley, with such regular visits from the local deer population that we don’t need to cut the grass!
  • Why should I buy direct from Heta?
    Buying direct from Heta will ensure you get the best wholesale price, that the gloves are genuine Heta and that the safety gloves are within their safe-use expiry date.
  • What UK, European and international accreditations, memberships and standards does Heta have/adhere to?
    Heta gloves comply to: - EN 388 - EN 420 - EN 374-1 - EN 374-5 - EN ISO 21420 - EN 455 Please see individual glove details on the product pages for individual specification. As part of our parent company, Heta has the following accreditations, memberships and standards: - ISO 14001 - Environmental management - ISO 9001 - Quality management systems - ISO 45001 - Occupational health and safety management systems - Supply Chain Sustainability School - Silver Our parent company is currently completing applications for other accreditations, memberships and standards including the British Safety Industry Federation (BSiF).

  • What makes Heta safety gloves special?
    Heta combine the latest developments in yarn and textiles, as well as safety glove construction, to create fully compliant, industry-leading safety gloves.   • What type of work gloves does Heta sell?
    Heta manufactures reusable safety gloves; The Niko – a high-performing, lightweight, Cut A safety glove; protecting your hands in low-risk, general purpose applications. The Mack – a lightweight, durable, Cut C glove. It allows for dexterity, while protecting the wearer for a range of medium-risk tasks. The Sterling – a waterproof, superior Cut E glove. It provides excellent wet grip for handling glass, metal sheets, and small sharp components. The Magnus – superior Cut F resistance with superb grip, making it the perfect choice for protecting your hands in high cut risk areas. We also stock two styles of disposable gloves which are both chemical resistant and include our Chemical Grip Glove which provides a textured surface for improved grip and our Biodegradable Glove which is also medical grade and fully biodegradable.
  • Can you wash Heta Gloves?
    Heta’s reusable gloves (The Niko, The Mack, The Sterling & The Magnus) are all washable, we recommend you read the care label and follow all washing guidance. Please note that if your Heta gloves show any signs of wear, or are so heavily soiled that washing does not restore them to a pristine state, you should dispose of the gloves. Our two disposable gloves can be washed whilst wearing (in the sink, as you would your hands) to minimise substance contamination, however they should be disposed of once removed.
  • Which glove size should I choose?

  • Do Heta sell anything other than PPE, safety or work gloves?
    Although our parent company sell a wide range of PPE and workwear, at Heta we specialise in safety gloves. Protecting hands at work is our mission and we believe that being focussed on that goal delivers a superior safety glove.
  • I am a supplier of gloves; can I buy wholesale?
    Yes, contact us to discuss wholesale safety glove pricing.
  • Can I place orders for one pair or small quantities of gloves?
    Unfortunately, Heta only supply wholesale, to buy individual gloves or in small quantities, you would need to purchase our gloves from one of our stockists.
  • Can I get a sample?
    Yes, if you are interested in trialling Heta gloves for your organisation, get in touch with our team to discuss your needs.
  • Can I place orders through your website?
    Not currently. As we offer bespoke pricing dependant on type and quantity of gloves ordered, and how often you contract to repeat order. You will need to speak to one of our friendly sales team who will be able to give you a quote. Make an enquiry here.
  • Where would I find postage costs, delivery and returns information?

  • I suspect there is a defect with the Heta glove(s) I have ordered, what should I do?
    Although all efforts are made to provide a high-quality, consistent product, Heta advise that you inspect the gloves as soon as you receive them. If you spot a suspected defect, do not use the gloves. If you have ordered your Heta gloves through a 3rd party, you will need to contact them for a refund or replacement. Heta will liaise directly with the 3rd party over any quality control issues. If you have ordered direct from Heta, contact us with your order number and we will get back to you as soon as is possible. Any gloves returned to us with a suspected defect will be assessed as to whether the ‘defect’ has been caused by improper use or identify if it is a factory defect, issuing further batch testing and recall notices as needed. A refund will only be issued by Heta if it has been identified by our Quality Control team as a factory defect.
